Characteristics:

• Plant Characteristics: In Italy the eucalyptus tree reaches a maximum height of 25 metres with spear-shaped leaves and chalice shaped flowers. It has been used to reclaim marshy land.

• Sensory Characteristics: It has an amber colour. It crystallises finely and has an intensely floral aroma.

• Composition: Very low water content makes this honey very thick.

• Health Uses: It represents a less aggressive use of the essential oil and is in fact a good anti-catarrhal, anti-spasmodic, anti-asthmatic, and a natural antibiotic. It is good for calming a cough and for reducing fever.
